As part of the Boston Marathon activation, we wanted to create an app that would allow users to share their excitement about the event by creating personalized marathon banners and sharing them on social.
The Challenge
The users could get to the experience from multiple different touchpoints, so I needed to make sure that there are no dead ends within the experience, and no confusion due to the different levels of exposure to the campaign.
Result
The app was an integral part of the marathon activation campaign which included social campaign, mini challenges, blog updates, and on site activation. The submissions were aggregated to create a user generated mosaic, and the lucky 26 winners were chosen to appear on the actual street banners.
